Services and Fees

Southeast Iowa Nanny Agency places full-time, part-time, temporary, and summer nannies. The fee structure is as follows:

Application Fee

There will be a $100 non-refundable application fee for each family filling out a placement application. This begins a relationship with Southeast Iowa Nanny Agency to work with you to find a nanny that will meet your family's needs. The application fee is due upon entering into the contract with the agency. This will take place during your interview, where we will review the contract and you can sign the agreement.

Service Fee

The service fee is due upon the family entering into a contract with a nanny placed by Southeast Iowa Nanny Agency. You will be asked to review the nanny after 30 days to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate. Should the initial placement not work out in the first 30 days, the agency will replace that nanny free of charge.

  • $850 for a part-time or full-time nanny

  • $500 for a temporary nanny (six months or less)

  • $350 for a summer nanny (approximately June through August)

The initial full-time or part-time nanny contract is for one year. Should the family and nanny decide to continue their work agreement beyond one year, there will be no additional fees owed to the agency. Southeast Iowa Nanny Agency will continue to be available for any questions or concerns so long as the nanny continues employment with the family they were originally placed with. In paying these fees, the family will be offered a hand-selected pool of nannies, each of whom have been through an extensive screening and training process, to include:

A rigorous background investigation, during which, at a minimum, the following will be checked:

  • Verify and authenticate a nanny candidate’s identity

  • Verify employment and educational history and applicable credentials and licenses

  • Perform state and county criminal record check

  • Perform a sex offender registry search

  • Review the candidate’s driving record

  • Comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and all other applicable local, state and federal laws

Training conducted by a representative of the agency, which will include the following:

  • Expectations and common practices of the agency

  • Guidelines as set forth by the International Nanny Association

  • Review of the Iowa Early Learning Standards

  • Tips for successful childcare providers

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid

  • Support and training for any special childcare needs

Nanny candidates interested in caring for children with special needs will receive additional training as needed to ensure that they are able to satisfactorily meet the needs of the child and the family.
